Dice Versa
Dice Versa is a simple puzzle game where players control a dice that they roll through obstacles and use to solve navigational puzzles. The game features a unique ability system where the player can roll onto special board spaces to gain powerups such as increased speed and the ability to roll across invisible tiles. There are currently five levels available to test players' abilities. The game was created as part of the 2022 Game Maker's Toolkit Game Jam, the theme of which was "Roll of the Dice."

Rules of the Game
Dice Versa is a puzzle game where the objective is to reach the end of each level by rolling your way past obstacles, activating switches and special abilities, and racing against the clock. You play as a six-sided dice where each side of the dice activates the corresponding tile on the board, triggering a unique ability. The descriptions of the abilities are below:
- Magnet-when the “1” pip is facing up toward the crane, the crane will pick the dice up and carry over to the corresponding “1” space.
- Teleport-when the “2” pip touches down on the “2” space, the dice will teleport to the corresponding “2” space.
- Dice Reorientation-when the “3” pip touches down on the “3” space, you will be prompted to choose a new upward facing number. This space gives the player the ability to reorient the dice to make navigation easier.
- Roll Over Blueprint Spaces-when the “4” pip touches down on the “4” space, the dice will have the ability to roll over blueprint spaces (designated by their blue blueprint outline) for 30 seconds.
- Speed Boost-when the “5” pip touches down on the “5” space, the dice will be able to move at a faster speed for 30 seconds.
- Key -when the “6” pip touches down on the “6” space, a corresponding door or barrier will open up.
If the dice is hit by any of the moving obstacles, it will immediately be destroyed. Avoid obstacles and use the special abilities of the dice to reach the end of each level.
Note: We recognize that traditionally the singular form of dice is “die,” but more recent editions of the Oxford English Dictionary note that language conventions have changed, and the word “dice” can now refer to a singular die or multiple dice. We prefer to use the word “dice,” as it doesn’t have morbid connotations.
